The Investigation between Oriental and Western Medicine on Cause for Asthma

Abstract
Objectives : This study was to compare the cause for bronchical and cardiac asthma.

Method : The investigation was made by finding oriental and western medicine books abour the cause for asthma.

Results :
1. There are three categories of etymological factors of asthma, that is, exogenous, endogenous and non-exo-endgenous factor. The exogenous factor is caused by six
excessive atmospheric influences, among these wind-cold(ù¦óó) and wind-hear(ù¦æð) are important factors. The endogenous factors are the injury of food, the injury of emotion, overexertion, a chronic disease. And the non-exo-endogenous factors are a wrong acupuncture, an injury from from a fall.
2. Asthma is symptoms of bonhuepyosil(ÜâúÈøúãù), and mainly related organ are three viscera of the lungs, the spleen, the kidneys.
3. A western medical inducement cause of asthma are an antigen induced allergen, a stimulation of drugs, an environmental and air pollution, an occupational factor, an infection, an exercise, an emotional stimulation.
4. The oriental medical causes of cardiac asthma are susasangyuk(â©Þ÷ß¾æ½), chungmakjihwa(õúØæñýûý), pyejungjihwa(øËñéñýûý).
5. The western medical causes of cardiac asthma are a left heart failure, an acute myocardial infraction, an aortic stenosis, a severe hypertension, an uremia, among these a left heart failure is a important cause.

Conclusions : In the results we recognized that an oriental and western medical cause of asthma is similiar to. So we have to diagnose and treat patients on the base of overall of symptoms and signs.
